The Missing 'Virgin' Bird

SUKHOI: Lost at Peak

When aviation industry grows faster, the sky much more fogged by the burnt. But what if it crushes before reaching the height of cloud? The unfortunate accident has just readily surprised attention of more merely than 'decent crush'. SUKHOI for first time flies into Indonesia when huge of mission and dreams. The archipelago countriy now need more than some aircrafts but much many aircrafts. To link the widespread islands obviously we need stuff to make it connected.

I was just keeping my attention on recent plan the existence of Embraer spotting in the country, as Garuda Indonesia ordered for additional fleet to reach likely remote airport. Not to missing the blooming B737-900ER or the NEO version of Boeing to fly more frequent as Lion Air dealt on track. Meanwhile Airbus still runs on the numerous order. Other airlines companies never left blank the space of fulfillment. But once Sukhoi made an initial flight into the country, attention has been dragged already. Nothing more than exciting to watch the advantage of competitiveness, it turned into misery story. It is such a great movement after the coldwar Russian Sukhoi attempts to stand more robust, at least to maintain its existence. The first way was taken through commercial airlines by introducing SUKHOI SJ-100 which is capable to carry 100 people onboard. It matches as many as its suffix version.Though it just readily flies this year to Indonesia, it was comercially used by Aeroflot, Armavia and so allied countries.

SUKHOI flies more than a commercial purpose, instead it's sort of soft diplomacy to close the relationship between Red Bear country and the home country. The history of last misery World War II story is not instantly evaporated. But today might be a different age. Whatever, here I see Indonesia possibly returns to be object of the advantage of competitiveness.

No advantage to maintain negative thought, we would have seen the tragedy of Sukhoi hitting peak of Mount Salak, West Java as the new phase of the world, particularly world of aviation. There must be more various type of aircraft crossing the sky and definitely will carry more and more people on the journey of sky. Yet the national aircraft manufature (PT DI) has no more (not yet) option to give birth more (bigger) birds. However it is still being the producer of  parts of some notable aircrafts (not many Indonesian realize this, I guess).

Lastly, the accident has been a new sign of another history. The investigation is now still being conducted. We properly do hope searching of the casulaties will have found the light.

Condolence to the casulties.

The loss of so many lives is a tragedy of course. I can't but add my condolences.

But you are right: more demand creates more supply. And competition. And actually the demand for transport by air has been and still is growing fast in Indonesia.

Sad and tragic as it may be, this accident can not and will not stop ongoing developments. Also because flying remains the safest way of transport. Ferries, trains and cars are much more hazardous.

Yet it is necessary to bring and keep facilities up to date. Including air traffic control.

Agree, air traffic control in Indonesia may be not well developed fairly. Yet aviation essentially requires more concerned signal for safer flight.
